Digital Video Recorders

The Digital Video Recorder (DVR) is the part of a CCTV system that records and plays back the images from the cameras and as such it forms the central hub of your surveillance system.
DVRs are available in 4, 8 or 16 channel models. That means you can connect up to 4, 8 or 16 cameras respectively. Because the DVR is one of the more expensive parts of your Closed Circuit TV set-up it is worth future proofing when choosing your DVR rather than needing to update it in a year's time. Trinity DVRs can be used to upgrade your existing system as well as forming the basis of a new security surveillance set-up.
Trinity DVRs are pre-programmed for the most popular settings to make installation easy. The DVR will continuously monitor all cameras automatically, recording to its hard drive when it detects movement. Most of our DVRs include a pre-installed and configured hard drive which will store around three weeks recording time under normal use conditions (then it will start to over-write the oldest data). They feature the latest H.264 video compression and high resolution video display for an excellent picture and maximisation of the hard drive space.
If you would like your DVR to be set up differently we can do that for you. This includes having the cameras recording continuously or on alarm trigger. These settings can also be easily changed by you at a later date. Some people also choose to have larger hard drives installed for increased data storage capacity. Simply choose the upgrade option you would like from the product pages and we'll install it for you.

Plus, one of the great advantages of a DVR is that you can view and control your cameras over a computer network or the internet. Our DVRs all include remote view software so you can live view your cameras from your PC or laptop. Most models can also be set up to allow you to view the cameras from your mobile phone as well. This means you can keep an eye on your business or home from anywhere in the world with an internet connection.
And best of all our DVRs are very easy to operate via mouse or remote (both are included). If you can operate your home DVD player you can work one of our DVRs!
